Brook Colangelo is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. He joined the company in January 2013 from the White House, where he held the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) since 2009. With over ten years’ experience in technology strategy and implementation, Brook joined the White House team in 2008 to spearhead the Obama-Biden transition project. Prior to that, he held several senior IT leadership roles, including within the Democratic National Convention Committee, The American Red Cross’ Hurricane Recovery Program and QRS Newmedia. Brook holds an honors degree in Political Communications from The George Washington University.

Michael Skok has been a Partner at North Bridge Venture Partners since 2002. He founded, led and attracted over $100 million in private equity to several successful software companies. His professional experience spanned CAD/CAM, document management, workflow, imaging and collaboration, security, and analytics. Latterly, Michael founded AlphaBlox, defining the market for analytical applications - now a multi-billion dollar industry - before IBM acquired the company., helps take software companies from concept to completion - just as he did as an entrepreneur and CEO. Michael focuses on large, market-changing technologies and disruptive business models like Open Source, SaaS, Cloud Computing and Mobile Applications.
